When it comes to wood floor restoration, and floor sanding, the effects can be just as beautiful in a humble home in a small suburb as they can be in one of the best areas of London. And let’s face it, Bloomsbury in London is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after areas.

1. Let’s look firstly at the kitchen with its warmly toned wood floor
This is a stunning room where the wooden floor undoubtedly gives the feeling of a warm kitchen on a winter evening overlooking one of the best areas of London feeling cosy and King or Queen of your little castle. The fireplace at the side (see listing) that you can imagine, is beautiful when it’s lit. We just love the funky curvy metallic table in the backdrop below the shelves! Metal and wood is a great combination.

But what does that mean? It basically means it’s a building of special interest that warrants every effort to preserve it. It’s a classification that can actually be applied to many different types of buildings and structures across a whole range of locations, styles and ages.
But of course that brings up the subject about refurbishment which has been done with the utmost perfection in the instance of these examples. To begin with, do you actually need consent if you wish to do renovation on a grade two, building such as we have here in these inspirational photos.
But it probably won’t surprise you to hear that the answer is in fact, yes. And not only as the outside of the building, but it’s also the interior of the building. Basically, it’s very much based on the concept that if they are listed buildings, such as a grade two listed building, we are aiming to preserve our own National Heritage and the building’s individual history as part of that.

So let’s move on to the next room. Of course it’s a hard choice. But the next room that we chose to show to you as part of this inspiration is the reception room.
2. Reception blends light with tantalising tones
In the reception room the moment you walk in, give us a feeling of light and space. At the same time, even though you’re in the heart of London, nature is coming in from the outside. It’s quite stunning. Then, you have of course, the wooden floor which has a wonderful feeling of movement through it because of the marks of darkness, light and warm tones all blended together in a perfectly put together interior job.
3. Floor sanded floors can balance strong metallic colour schemes
Now moving on to one of the bedrooms we’ll see once again that the decoration has been done absolutely flawlessly, with beautiful curves. White walls and bright light comes flooding in through the window.
This bedroom has very elegant colour schemes. In this case we have a combination of white, silver, grey, silver, all of which is picked up on both in the accessories and decor. Check out those stunning pictures that are above the bed, gaze at the gorgeous bedside tables, the curtains, the base of the bed and actually also the head of the bed. of beautiful mirror all of which are really bringing in the air the metallic side of an interior by itself.
This could be just too much and that’s why once again we see in this room, a stunning wood floor that brings in the warmth and hones in on a feeling of tradition that you want as well as elegance.
